QuickBooks Enterprise Advanced Reporting

This is the last page of a 6 part article on what you will see in QuickBooks Advanced Reporting tool.

The Expression tab of Chart Properties defines your columns. (similar to the display tab in the QuickBooks reports)
You can add customized CALCULATED FIELDS HERE (If you have someone in your office that can do this, great.  Otherwise, with some
testing yourself, you will get the hang of it.)

A column can represent:

  • a single field

  • a single field with a mathematical equation

  • multiple fields with mathematical equations

  • a single field along with a user input field.
  • A single field examples could be a Date field, Name field, Quantity field, Amount Field ...

A single field with a mathematical equation as seen below under edit expression:
    Transaction.Amount             *           .15                 or           Quantity        *     Amount
Field                                       multiplied      15 percent                                   Field                           Field

A single field with a user input field expression would be like above. Except instead of the 15 percent,
an input box would be created that holds a variable (which stores the input entered by user).
See below to create an input box using a commission percentage rather than the actual 15 percent.
