can reverse this decision by selecting "bring back all one
time messages" option under preferences (general).

Managing costs with

- Backordered column has been added to
the sales order to indicate fulfilled and still open
quantities. Invoice has a new backordered column and picking
lists can now be printed. Packing lists now show backordered items.
If you are a nonprofit and need to track backorders,
consider purchasing the accountant's edition.

excellent choice for contractors with limited office
staff . Once the company moves forward with full time
employees devoted just to purchasing, or estimating, or
project managing, and / or warehouse management it is
time to dive into a heavy duty contractor software that
can offer scheduling, budgeting and other project
management features. Master Builder (an Intuit software)
has included these additional features and is also a more
robust software which can handle the additional
transactions without slowing down your system.

Healthcare Edition is
no longer being promoted as part of the industry-specific
QuickBooks product line The
product is not present on Intuit's Web sites, or in
retail stores, because customers with a healthcare
practice have indicated that they want a
healthcare-specific version of QuickBooks to offer
practice management capabilities, or integrate with their
existing practice management systems. QuickBooks does not offer this
functionality, and does not integrate with practice
management software applications. For this reason, it is
not being actively promoted with financial software products.
Consider purchasing the QuickBooks
Accountant Premier Edition. The accountant edition includes
all the predefined company
files that are included in each of the industry
specific editions of QuickBooks Premier. There are two
predefined health care practice company templates (Dental
Practices and Veterinary Practices) that have the
preferences, list items and chart of accounts customized
to these medical practices. There is also a sample
medical company with one year of transactions for
QuickBooks users to learn from. If the two
templates (Vet & Dental) do not work for you (it
takes only 10 minutes to set one up so you can review
it), the set up wizard offers standard chart of accounts
for general healthcare companies. Help for medical
practices still exist in QuickBooks Premier Accountants
Edition. It is a bit tricky to get to, so
write this down for future reference:
